Osteoid Osteoma
- benign bone lesion
- younger than 30 age group
- painful, classically relieved with Aspirin
- long bones
- reactive sclerotic area with lucent center, vascular nidus (enhances on CT)
- nidus can calcify
- difficult to distinguish from osteomyelitits (plain film, CT, and MRI)
- Nuclear Medicine: double-density sign (increased uptake in reactive sclerosis and nidus)
